Early Intervention on Bullying Behaviours
Bullying prevention at IIS starts with early observation and teacher training, not with a policy document that only comes out after something has gone wrong. Our approach is built into how we run the school day. When children feel genuinely safe, they learn more, make friends more easily, and come to school ready to be themselves.
In many schools, bullying is handled through broad, one-size-fits-all policies. At IIS, every case is handled individually, because every child and situation is different. Every child involved, on any side of the situation, gets the support they need to move on.

Meet the Founder of IIS
Founded by Dr Vanessa von Auer, a clinical psychologist, IIS was created to offer something many families struggle to find in more traditional school settings, an environment that is more personal, more emotionally safe, and built around each child being known by name, understood as an individual, and taught in the way they learn best.
Her psychology-led approach runs through how the school supports wellbeing, how our teachers are trained to spot early signs of stress or exclusion, and how we handle bullying behaviours before they escalate.
At IIS, emotional safety and academic growth work together, so every child can arrive at school ready to learn and leave school ready for what comes next.
